Target also has excellent $1 classroom items, and big box stores like Walgreens, CVS, Staples, Office Max, and Office Depot can have great deals. Each store may only have a few awesome loss leaders, which leads to running around, but if you take your teacher ID, the stores will usually let you buy over their limit on the sale. This is especially handy if you a) have to buy your own supplies or b) like to buy a few extras for those kids and parents that “just couldn’t find” a certain supply. I charge my parents what I paid, and then I don’t have to wait three weeks for a folder, markers, etc!
